TITLE: Using Rocstar: Dataset Format and Assembly Tools, and the
Automated Build and Test Cycle
ABSTRACT
The Rocstar integrated simulation code includes several different
fluid dynamics, solid mechanics, and combustion modules, each of which
has unique input file format and data requirements. Depending upon the
simulation to be performed, different files and preprocessing steps may
be required to assemble a complete Rocstar dataset. This talk
will discuss the Rocstar dataset format, the new Rocprep
dataset construction tool, and the format of a new Rocstar data
archival format called the Native Data Archive (NDA). Rocprep is
a command-line program designed to arrange and preprocess an existing set
of Rocstar 3 files into a runnable dataset. An early prototype
of a Rocstar dataset GUI (Graphical User Interface) tool will
also be discussed briefly.
Using Rocstar as a simulation tool requires obtaining a version
of the code that will compile cleanly and run your problem. The second
half of this talk will present the Rocbuild/Roctest
codes that build and regression test several CSAR codes each night.
The results of this nightly testing are posted on a web site so users
may gauge the stability of each nightly version of Rocstar.
