If so, there are two opportunities to assist the Office of Special Program with this program: <br> <br>FIRST LEGO ROBOTICS REGIONAL COMPETITION AT THE U OF I - The competition involves approximately 200 kids ages 9-14. Volunteers can serve as judges, technical assistants, time keepers, etc. Assistance is needed on Friday evening, Dec. 15, and/or all-day on Saturday, Dec. 16. If you are interested, attend an information meeting on Thursday, Nov. 30 at noon in Rm. 212, Engr. Hall; pizza will be served. (RSVP to coe-outreach@uiuc.edu by Wed., Nov. 29.) Each participant's name will be read as they cross the stage, shake hands with their department head and Dean Adesida, and receive a diploma cover. There will not be a hooding ceremony for the PhD recipients at this program, and the total graduation ceremony will last until about 2:30 p.m. Following the ceremony, there will be a reception in the lobby of the Krannert Center for the graduates and their guests. <br> <br>Students expecting to participate in this ceremony must complete the following steps: <br> <br>1. Sign up for the ceremony so we know how many students will be participating. Please go to the following website to sign up: https://engineering.uiuc.edu/attend_commencement. You may sign up between Nov. 6 and Dec. 8. <br> <br>2. After you have signed up, bring your email with the confirmation number to 206 Engineering Hall to pick up your instruction sheet, guest tickets (4 tickets per student maximum but we ask that you only take as many as you need), and sign up to receive a proof of the photo taken at the ceremony. <br> <br>3. Caps and gowns are required attire. Participating graduates must place an order between Oct. 6 and Nov. 30 online at www.herff-jones.com/college/graduation.
